That it took this film to bring me back. WOW!
I walked into the cinema thinking "I hope this reboot doesn't suck".
And you know what, IT DOESN'T. In fact it raises the bar for blockbusters to come, as what its predecessor had done for cinema 22 years ago with the scary Dino's and Saur's that was Jurassic Park. This year the visions and ideals we all had for the actual park has been met and exceeded.
Leading us through the film adventure is Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard who, lets be honest we all were very sceptical about. Boy was I wrong, they are amazing. The Casting for all the characters even the ones you just see every now and then were spot on and perfect.
The Story and Script should be judged separately as I am still wondering about the one. Story, very plain, quite predictable, but I mean really what would you expect. There's no major plot twist, no major dino theatrics, no major anything other than true and honest adventure, and you love it for that simplicity. The script on the other hand is very corny 90's which, I guess they did for the mere fact that you don't want to have the one stand out from the others for it's social update - I don't know, but it works.
Technically this film is basically perfect with amazing sound design and composition. Visual perfection, the only way I've been able to word the cinematography was Iconic, because of the ways they framed the iconic moments so you remember exactly what they wanted you to - It's brilliant. What I loved about this was that it was shot in 3D but the Director didn't need that to enhance the scare factor but rather used that to enhance the viewing experience.
I want you all to go and take the afternoon off and watch Jurassic Park, The Lost World and then 3 which you then end off by treating yourself to this amazing film in cinema. I personally cannot wait to go watch it again, as I was on the edge of my seat from the moment the park gates opened up and the Gautrain styled Monorail entered them.You will not be disappointed this I can promise you.
